In a significant move aimed at bolstering the involvement of women in the workforce, Benesse Senior Support, a group company of the Benesse Style Care Group, has been awarded the task of managing the Women Empowerment Promotion Seminar in Iwate Prefecture. With the seminar scheduled to take place from September to December 2026, Benesse Senior Support is currently seeking applicants from local businesses and organizations to participate in this pioneering initiative.
As society faces challenges like population decline and a shortage of skilled workers, this project is a timely response to the increasing need for women's empowerment in the workplace. Aiming to transform organizational culture, the initiative is designed to foster an environment where women can thrive professionally while managing personal responsibilities. Benesse Senior Support provides comprehensive support for balancing work alongside caregiving, parenting, and health concerns. The seminars will offer a structured program that guides participants from understanding the importance of women's empowerment to implementing and entrenching these practices within their organizations.
Seminar Overview
The application period for the seminars is set from July 23, 2026, until one week before each seminar's respective date. Open to those employed in Iwate Prefecture’s companies and organizations, the seminars will be entirely free of charge. The program includes:
Online Seminars (5 sessions)
These online sessions are aimed at business owners, managers, and female employees. They will focus on fostering understanding of women’s empowerment, improving their capabilities, and creating work environments suitable for all. The topics covered will include:
1. Women Empowerment Seminar
2. Career Design Seminar
3. Step-Up Support Seminar
4. Management Seminar for Women's Empowerment
Duration: September to December 2026 (specific dates will vary by seminar)
Capacity: 70 participants per session
In-Person Seminars (2 sessions)
These on-site seminars are tailored for executives, HR personnel, and advocates for women’s empowerment. They will assist in creating practices for women's empowerment within organizations, covering:
- - A seminar to support the formulation of Action Plans based on the Women Empowerment Promotion Act, scheduled for October 16, 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30.
- - A seminar to support the acquisition of the Eruboshi Certification, set for November 26, 2026, from 14:00 to 16:00.
