HONOR's Open Collaboration Commitment at MWC Barcelona 2025

The global technology brand HONOR made a significant impact at MWC Barcelona 2025, participating in two engaging discussions: the Connect X Fireside Chat and the AI+ panel discussion. Through these platforms, they gathered with industry leaders to share insights regarding the future of connected and intelligent technologies.

A key theme that emerged during these discussions was the paramount importance of open collaboration in addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence (AI). This is further reflected in HONOR's recently unveiled PLAN HONOR ALPHA, which aims to maximize human potential and foster a smarter world by partnering with industry collaborators.

James Li, CEO of HONOR, stated during the keynote address unveiling PLAN HONOR ALPHA, "As we advance toward the era of physical AI, we must push the boundaries of our industry and co-create a new paradigm for the AI ecosystem. This can be achieved by unlocking industry AI capabilities to provide a platform for a broader range of devices, facilitating smooth collaboration between different operating systems and creating a value exchange ecosystem. Therefore, we must all work together to enhance human potential and embrace a smarter world."

Moving Beyond Pure Connectivity

During the informal discussion, the dialogue shifted towards evolving beyond pure connectivity to build intelligent ecosystems that proactively address user needs. HONOR painted a vision where technology anticipates and simplifies daily tasks, showcasing examples like smartphones seamlessly connecting to vehicles and homes, alongside wearable devices offering personalized health insights. This vision is materialized through the PLAN HONOR ALPHA, underlining the company’s commitment to delivering innovations designed with a human-centric focus while leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance productivity, society, and culture like never before.

Driving AI Connectivity and Innovation through Collaboration

The informal chat underscored the crucial role of industrial collaboration in stimulating innovation and ensuring interoperability. Acknowledging the necessity for cooperation in establishing standards, HONOR consistently promotes open collaboration with key industry leaders to develop unified AI connectivity standards and solutions. As AI technology evolves into the era of physical AI and beyond, a concerted effort to co-create an open and intelligent ecosystem will become increasingly vital as more industry players navigate the complexities of the ever-changing tech landscape.

Emphasizing On-Device Technology

At the AI+ panel discussion, HONOR shared insights on balancing on-device AI and cloud-based solutions, reiterating the importance of clearly defining their roles. Using examples like the world's first mobile AI agent based on a graphical user interface, ecosystem-wide exchange technology, and AiMAGE—all highlighted during HONOR's recent keynote speech—the company provided tangible evidence of how it prioritizes user privacy through on-device processes while intelligently harnessing cloud resources without compromising data security.

HONOR's stance on prioritizing user privacy was further reinforced by the recent release of its Privacy Protection White Paper, referenced during the panel discussion. This white paper outlines five principles that the company commits to in order to safeguard user data: data minimization; safeguarding sensitive data on-device; prioritizing on-device processing; desensitizing and encrypting data before uploading it to the cloud; and data deletion post-usage.

Moreover, HONOR reiterated the necessity of breaking down boundaries for a smarter future, inviting industry partners to join forces. The company remains steadfast in executing the PLAN HONOR ALPHA, continuing to collaborate openly with industry stakeholders.
