About the Japan Junior Chamber International
The journey of the Japan Junior Chamber began in 1949, inspired by the ideal of realizing a bright and prosperous society, driven by responsible and passionate youth volunteers. The organization initially started as the Tokyo Junior Chamber of Commerce and Industry, changing its name upon the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce Law.
Since then, numerous Junior Chambers have emerged across the country with a shared vision of mutual improvement and social contribution. In 1951, the Japan Junior Chamber, serving as a national coordinating body, was officially established. Today, Junior Chambers throughout Japan operate under the principles of “Training, Service, and Friendship,” actively tackling societal issues such as volunteerism and administrative reform.
Furthermore, as members of the Junior Chamber International (JCI), they engage in collaborative activities with Junior Chambers across the globe, fostering international connections and pursuits.
