Exhibition of the 14th Asakawa Photography Contest
The 14th Asakawa Photography Contest has begun, showcasing the winning entries that illustrate the diverse beauty of the Asakawa River area. In collaboration with Hachioji City, this exhibition aims to spread awareness of the stunning seasonal features of the breathtaking landscape that lies along the river.
Nestled between Hachioji and Hino cities, the Asakawa River basin serves as a vital space for promoting a rich environmental setting. Since the 2011 fiscal year, these municipalities have been working jointly to enhance the riverfront, hoping to create a more vibrant community that not only thrives but also respects nature. This year's contest continues with the tradition of highlighting the captivating charm of the river's surroundings—its flora, fauna, and the lives intertwined with it.
Out of 291 photographs submitted this year, only eight have been selected for recognition, each piece revealing a unique perspective on the natural and human elements present in this picturesque region. The curated collection aims to inspire visitors and community members alike to appreciate and engage with their environment.
