About JITRO

The Czech Girls' Choir JITRO was founded in 1973 in the ancient city of Hradec Králové. Out of approximately 350 students in their six preparatory courses, only 30 are selected to perform professionally. In 2006, they achieved an outstanding victory at the 4th World Choral Competition held in Xiamen, China, winning three out of four categories and securing the overall championship. Their extensive touring experience includes successful performances in various countries, making them a prominent artistic voice internationally.

JITRO's contributions to choral music have gained immense recognition, particularly highlighting their 15 American tours. They have received invitations to numerous music festivals, and in 2003, they gained significant attention by performing with the Munich Symphony Orchestra at the Prague Spring Festival, presenting a première of a Mozart piece.

In recent years, the choir has collaborated with renowned musicians and orchestras, including the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the acclaimed soloist José Cura. To date, they have released 31 different CDs, further solidifying their mark in the recording industry with notable labels like Czech EMI.
