CBRE Partners with Tokyo for New Industrial Growth Initiative
CBRE, officially known as CBRE, Inc., has recently signed a fundamental agreement with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government aimed at fostering new industrial growth through effective location support for businesses. This initiative, termed the "Corporate Location Support for New Industrial Creation," is set to encourage companies applying for support to develop innovative research and production bases crucial for the economy of Tokyo.
The initiative is structured to offer a substantial subsidy of up to 5 billion yen for the development of high-impact industrial bases. By investing in next-generation research and development, the goal is to enhance Tokyo's industrial competitiveness and ensure sustained economic growth.
The signing of this agreement marks a recognition of CBRE's extensive experience in large-scale commercial real estate transactions within Tokyo, alongside its robust client base and sales networks both domestically and internationally. As part of this initiative, CBRE is committed to facilitating the application process for interested companies. It aims to provide comprehensive support to selected businesses through the delivery of land and property information, as well as hosting business briefings, seminars, and consultation sessions.
The immediate focus is on supporting the forthcoming selection round scheduled for September 2026. In expressing his enthusiasm for this collaboration, CBRE's President and COO, Takashi Tsuji, stated, "We are extremely honored to participate in Tokyo's 'Corporate Location Support for New Industrial Creation.' CBRE will leverage our extensive network, market data, and expertise to offer optimal real estate solutions to companies involved in this initiative, contributing to the creation and sustainable development of Tokyo's next-generation industries."
CBRE's involvement in this partnership highlights not just its leading position in commercial real estate, but also its dedication to working collaboratively with government agencies to support research and development facilities and production sites within Tokyo. Through this initiative, the company seeks to significantly contribute to the city's growth from a real estate perspective.
