XCMG's Major Achievement at Bauma China 2024
In a significant display of innovation and commitment to sustainability, XCMG Machinery, one of China’s foremost construction equipment manufacturers, has secured contracts exceeding 10 billion CNY during the prestigious bauma China 2024 event. These contracts highlight the company’s focus on environmentally friendly and intelligent equipment, including mining machinery and renewable energy production systems.
Among the most noteworthy agreements is a historic partnership with Fortescue Group, one of the largest iron ore producers based in Western Australia. This 3 billion CNY contract mandates XCMG to supply over 100 heavy mobile units that are designed to be zero-emission by 2030. The fleet will include electric wheel loaders, bulldozers, and graders aligned with Fortescue’s goal of achieving zero emissions across its Australian iron ore operations by the end of this decade. The initial batch of these heavy-duty machines is expected to be operational by 2026, marking a substantial step toward reducing fossil fuel consumption.
In addition to this groundbreaking deal, XCMG has also entered into a strategic collaboration with Tsingshan Holding Group to establish a cutting-edge manufacturing facility for new energy equipment in Indonesia. This facility, the first of its kind for XCMG in Southeast Asia, is set to become a pivotal production hub for new energy technologies, thus underscoring XCMG's commitment to nurturing sustainable industrial practices in the region.
Furthermore, at the event, XCMG showcased an array of innovations including the delivery of cranes valued at over 200 million CNY in China. This list includes:
- - XCA4000: The world's largest all-terrain crane.
- - XCA2000: Renowned for its versatility in wind power projects.
- - XLC18000M and XLC17000: State-of-the-art crawler cranes designed for wind turbine installation.
XCMG continues to solidify its place as a leader in the construction and mining sectors with these strategic contracts and deliveries. Demonstrating a strong commitment to clean energy solutions, XCMG also showcased over 40 electric and hybrid machines, making up 42% of their displayed excavators, cranes, graders, mining machinery, and road construction equipment at bauma. Key highlights from their global product launches include:
- - XC9108EV: The largest electric loader in the market.
- - GR350EP: The first electric mining grader ever produced.
- - XCT100G5-1HEV: A hybrid crane with a capacity of 100 tons.
- - XE650GK-HEV: A hybrid hydraulic excavator tailored for mining applications.
Visitors to bauma China were particularly impressed by the innovative machinery from XCMG featured in the popular film,
