About Nori Okawa

Nori Okawa, an emerging artist born in 1991 in Okayama Prefecture, is a graduate of the Graphic Design department at Tama Art University. After gaining experience in video production, he launched his artistic career in 2019. Since then, Okawa has collaborated with brands and magazines, completing numerous commercial projects. Notably, his recent works include the global event 'Miu Miu Club Tokyo' and a mural for the Osaka and Kansai Expo.

His art often revolves around the theme of 'the boundary between life and death,' cleverly reinterpreting traditional ukiyo-e with a modern twist. Okawa's pieces reflect Edo-period notions of 'iki' and 'share,' along with a hedonistic worldview that sees life as fleeting. This blend of refinement and playfulness has garnered substantial attention and admiration.
