Valuence Holdings Achieves B Score for Climate Change from CDP 2025

Valuence Holdings Scores a 'B' in Climate Change Category

Valuence Holdings, Inc. (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Shinsuke Sakimoto), has recently announced its accomplishment of attaining a 'B' score in the climate change sector for the 2025 survey conducted by the international environmental rating organization, CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).

The 'B' score not only positions Valuence among the top three tiers in CDP's assessment but also reflects its robust management level. This score signifies that the company is cognizant of both risks and opportunities related to climate change and is proactively preparing strategies, setting objectives, and executing concrete actions along with transparent disclosures.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, Valuence has set ambitious targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 50% by 2027 and by 90% by 2030, using 2023 as the baseline year. To meet these targets, the company is transitioning its purchasing and selling locations to renewable energy sources. Moreover, Valuence aims to achieve Science Based Targets (SBT) certification by 2026, which will encompass its emissions reductions goals, including Scope 3 emissions.

In addition to its immediate climate goals, Valuence continues to strive for the creation of environmental and social value through its business activities, contributing towards the realization of a sustainable society.

Valuence’s Sustainability Commitments

Valuence identifies 17 material aspects that require a strategic focus within its business operations. These aspects are aligned with its medium-term management plan, titled “To the Next Stage: For 2030 Revival Vision.” The target years for evaluating the company’s performance are set for the fiscal year 2027 and for the realization of the 'Circular Design Company' in 2030.

To further promote sustainable consumption behaviors, Valuence is calculating and disclosing the environmental impact contributions from its reuse business, termed the “Resale Impact.” Detailed information about the company's sustainability initiatives, including indicators and performance, can be found on Valuence's website under the “Sustainability” section.
