Flexential Expands Its Network with the Bifrost Cable System



Flexential, a prominent provider of secure data center solutions, has recently announced its connectivity to the Bifrost Cable System, an unprecedented subsea cable linking Singapore with North America's West Coast. This groundbreaking cable system is noteworthy for being the first direct connection of its kind, designed to enhance data transmission between Asia Pacific and North America.

Spanning over 12,500 miles, this high-capacity system is engineered to handle an impressive data transmission rate of up to 260 terabits per second (Tbps). This means that Flexential is now positioned to offer its customers state-of-the-art connectivity through its Hillsboro, Oregon data center campus, which serves as the cable's primary termination point.

Remarkably, the transpacific latency achieved by Bifrost stands at under 165 milliseconds, making it up to ten milliseconds faster than many existing transpacific routes.
