Experience the Joy of Ice Cream Creation
The beloved Meiji Essel Super Cup brand is celebrating its anniversary with a unique pop-up event titled 'Super Cup Laboratory' that invites participants to experience the fun of being an ice cream researcher. Set to take place from September 18 to 21, 2025, at dotcom space Tokyo in Harajuku, this event coincides with 'Meiji Essel Super Cup Day' celebrated on September 20.
With over 30 years of history, the Meiji Essel Super Cup has delighted customers with traditional flavors like vanilla and matcha, as well as innovative varieties like zunda and kinako. The pop-up event aims to engage the younger generation, encouraging them to create their own unique combinations of flavors and toppings.
Participants will take on the role of apprentice researchers at the Super Cup Laboratory, where they can customize their own Super Cup using a base of the classic super vanilla ice cream. With over 600,000 potential combinations of ingredients, attendees can explore endless possibilities to craft their own distinct 'Super Cup Equation.' The unique experience will be enhanced with laboratory-themed utensils such as test tubes, flasks, and syringes, adding a playful twist to the ice cream experience.
Additionally, familiar toppings like natto and corn, easily found at local supermarkets and convenience stores, will be available for customization. This allows participants to recreate their favorite flavors at home, making the event both fun and practical.
By discovering their original 'Super Cup Equation,' guests will broaden their understanding of the delicious world of ice cream, and the event promises to enhance their overall enjoyment of this beloved treat, contributing to healthier everyday lives.
