Discover Kawazu's Unique Biker Support Plan
As the warm spring season approaches, the picturesque town of Kawazu, located in Shizuoka Prefecture, is preparing to welcome motorcycle enthusiasts with open arms. The
Kaiyutei hotel, perfectly situated at the entrance of the famed Kawazu Cherry Blossom Avenue, is rolling out an exciting
Biker Support Plan aimed at addressing the unique needs of riders. Beginning from
March 9, 2026, guests can enjoy a variety of amenities designed to enhance their travel experience.
Strengthening Support for Motorcyclists
In collaboration with local authorities, Kawazu is striving to be recognized as the most biker-friendly town in Japan. The
Biker Support Plan has been curated by
Masayuki Aikyo, an influencer in the motorcycle community and a dedicated Kawazu Tourism Ambassador. His mission? To alleviate the inconveniences that bikers often encounter while travelling.
Key Features of the Plan
1.
Luxury Equipment Rentals: Guests can enjoy complimentary access to premium biking gear:
- Daytona motorcycle covers
- JESIMIKA helmet dryers
- KUSHITANI specialized hangers for jackets and pants
- KOMINE helmet pillows
- Comfortable sandals for exploring the area.

Culinary Delights Inspired by Izu
Dinner at Kaiyutei is a culinary adventure featuring Izu’s famous
Kinmedai (red gurnard) simmered to perfection and bowls of wasabi rice topped off with freshly grated wasabi. The wasabi can also be enjoyed with sashimi, making it a delightful pairing with the freshest fish. Enjoy regional beverages like shochu infused with wasabi or locally brewed Shizuoka beer for an authentic dining experience.
Supporting Riders During the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival
From February 7, during the annual
Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival, the hotel extends its support to ensure convenient accommodations for bikers. The festival sees a surge in visitors, making parking difficult. Kaiyutei offers its guests free use of the on-site parking before check-in and after check-out to ease this burden. Positioned close to the cherry blossoms, bikers can leisurely enjoy the sights without the hassle of parking.
Early Access to Maintenance Equipment
During the festival, guests can also use maintenance equipment from top brands like Daytona and KOMINE free of charge. This includes bike care tools that will be available even before the official plan launch date.
Experience the Magical Night Cherry Blossom Lights
From 6 PM to 9 PM during the festival, guests can experience a stunning light display illuminating the cherry blossom avenue right outside the hotel. This means riders can relax and enjoy the night scenes without worrying about their bikes, as they can secure them safely within the hotel premises.
A Message from Masayuki Aikyo
In an era where busy lifestyles limit opportunities for camping or staying in hostels, this plan aims to offer a special day for riders filled with comfort and enjoyment. New leather accessories and stickers will also be available for returning guests of the rider plan in 2025. With delicious dining options, seasonal hot spring experiences, and beautiful rides through Izu’s nature, every day can be the perfect getaway.
