Risen Energy and Ascania Energy Team Up for Solar Power Projects in Ukraine

Risen Energy and Ascania Energy Join Forces for Solar Projects in Ukraine

In an exciting development for the renewable energy landscape in Ukraine, Risen Energy and Ascania Energy have signed two strategic memorandums of understanding. The cooperation will focus on the implementation of solar energy projects that boast a total capacity of up to 100 MW, complemented by energy storage systems capable of holding 200 MWh. This partnership reflects a significant commitment to meeting the rising demand for efficient, decentralized energy solutions in the region.

The official signing event witnessed the presence of key executives including Jerry Qin, the President of Risen Energy for Europe, and Yevhen Piatko, the CEO and co-owner of Ascania Energy. This collaboration is in response to Ukraine's pressing need for enhanced energy production capabilities, which are essential for ensuring the reliability of energy supplies and integrating renewable energy sources into the national grid.

Combining the strengths of both companies, the projects will leverage solar power integrated with storage systems. Such an approach helps in shifting energy consumption patterns and offers businesses reliable energy supply even during network constraints. Ascania Energy operates across the entire energy value chain in Ukraine, encompassing project development, design, engineering, energy management, and direct power supply.

As a part of the Ascania Group, which enjoys three decades of experience in business operations, Ascania Energy is equipped with local execution capabilities and access to corporate customers. On the other hand, Risen Energy prides itself on providing advanced photovoltaic modules, energy storage systems, inverters, and smart energy management solutions. Risen Energy supports this with integrated R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, project execution, and global service capabilities.

By the second quarter of 2026, Risen Energy had delivered a cumulative total of 121.4 GW of photovoltaic modules globally, along with over 10 GWh of energy storage systems. These high-end products are in operation across more than 90 countries and regions.

In Ukraine specifically, Risen Energy has already provided modules for 12 solar projects, including the significant Pokrovskaja solar power station rated at 323 MW. This experience positions Risen well for adapting products, managing deliveries, and offering localized services, especially targeting public utilities along with commercial and industrial sectors.

On August 13, a delegation from Ascania Energy visited Risen Energy’s smart factory to explore manufacturing, testing, and quality management capabilities related to photovoltaic systems and energy storage solutions. The discussions focused on the high-performance, highly efficient Hyper-ion Pro modules and the eTron liquid-cooled energy storage systems integrating advanced safety features and intelligent management for large-scale applications.

The ongoing collaboration will extend to developing projects, product localization, engineering training, after-sales service, and building technical capabilities. By intertwining Risen Energy's technological prowess with Ascania's local expertise, this partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of solar and storage systems throughout Ukraine, fostering a sustainable energy future for the nation.

This collaboration not only represents a pivotal moment for renewable energy in Ukraine but also sets a precedent for similar partnerships in other developing markets seeking to modernize their energy infrastructures. The combined efforts of Risen Energy and Ascania Energy are expected to make a lasting impact on the Ukrainian energy sector, paving the way for a greener and more resilient energy landscape.
