Perfect Game, recognized as the largest youth baseball and softball platform in the world, has made an exciting announcement regarding the launch of the Perfect Game Pacific Baseball Championship. This international tournament is set to be held from August 7 to August 11, 2025, in the picturesque region of Hokkaido, Japan.

The tournament aims to showcase the talent of young athletes aged 15 years and under from eight different countries across the Pacific region, including the United States, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and an additional team to be revealed later.

Event Details

The tournament's preliminary matches will take place at the newly renovated Chitose Civic Baseball Stadium, while the semi-finals and championship game will be hosted at the iconic Sapporo Dome. This stadium is notable as the home ground of the Nippon Ham Fighters and previously hosted the legendary MLB star Shohei Ohtani. This is a unique opportunity for players, as these will be the only Perfect Game events taking place in a dome stadium throughout 2025.

In a statement about the event, Rob Ponger, the CEO of Perfect Game, expressed enthusiasm for the championship, stating, "The Perfect Game Pacific Baseball Championship represents an exciting new chapter for youth baseball, providing young athletes from diverse countries with a platform to compete at the highest level while gaining invaluable international experience. We look forward to witnessing the talent and passion of these rising stars."

Team Rosters and Broadcast Information

As the anticipation builds for this prestigious tournament, the U.S. team roster is expected to be announced this summer. Notably, outfielder Joel Vargas, who is currently ranked number 10 among Perfect Game's national rankings, has already been confirmed for the U.S. team. Vargas, a Class of 2028 player, has participated in the Perfect Game Select Fest in the last two years, showcasing his growing talent on a national platform.

Baseball enthusiasts around the globe will have the chance to witness the semi-finals and finals live, as they will be broadcasted on PerfectGame.TV and through the free PGTV app. Further details regarding match schedules, brackets, team rosters, and coaching staff will be revealed in the coming months.
