The Westin Sendai, located in the heart of Sendai, Japan, is proud to host the 22nd edition of the highly anticipated Westin Salon on October 18, 2025. This event offers an exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in the world's vibrant culture and arts while enjoying breathtaking views from the 25th floor banquet hall, "Miyabi," situated 110 meters above the ground.

This year’s highlight is the esteemed Daniel Gewg, former concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, who has made significant contributions to classical music in Japan. He has been actively involved in over 100 volunteer performances across Japan while serving as a professor at the Nuremberg University of Music in Germany. Gewg’s dedication to supporting music activities in Tohoku, particularly for communities affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, has been commendable. Over the years, he has captivated audiences with his performances at the Westin Salon, showcasing his artistic prowess.

The Gewg String Quartet—comprising Gewg, his brother Sebastian Gewg of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, Stefan Huber from the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Matthias Schessl—will grace this year's event. This ensemble is known for their rich and intelligent sound and has received acclaim for their performances in Japan in 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2023, establishing themselves as musical ambassadors.
