Kyushu enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The 2026 SUPER FORMULA Round 3 is back at Autopolis, located in Oita Prefecture on April 25th and 26th. After a year-long hiatus, this premier motorsport event is ready to bring excitement to the region once again. This year, it falls just before the Golden Week, making it the perfect excuse for a trip around Kyushu.

Event Highlights

The Super Formula is known as Japan's highest level of motorsport, operated by Japan Race Promotion (JRP). This year’s Kyushu event promises to be packed with thrilling action and unparalleled competition. One of the most exciting updates is the revival of the Q3 qualifying format after five years, which introduces a nail-biting showdown among the top five drivers. For the first time at Autopolis, fans can witness an intense battle for the best lap times right from the qualifying rounds! Don't miss the fierce competition that kicks off with Q1 and Q2!

Additionally, there will be a special gathering of popular local mascots from across Kyushu to liven up the atmosphere. Alongside the Super Formula event, there will also be races from the 2026 All Japan Super Formula Lights Championship Rounds 4, 5, and 6 and the 2026 N-ONE Owner's Cup Round 3, ensuring a full weekend of motorsport action.

A Taste of Kyushu

Food lovers can look forward to the renowned Poli-bo's Gourmet Booth, which showcases the culinary delights of the region. Additionally, the 2026 Yuru Fes Waiwai Mascot Gathering will take place, bringing together local character mascots like Mejiro from Oita and Tsukumin from Tsukumi City. Attendees can interact with them, take photos, and enjoy stage performances and exhibitions.
