Fender Unveils the Li Ronghao Stratocaster®

Fender Music (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has officially launched the much-anticipated Li Ronghao Stratocaster®, marking a significant milestone in both the company's history and the Chinese music scene. As a signature model for Li Ronghao, one of the most influential figures in the Mandopop genre, this guitar represents the first collaboration between Fender and an artist from mainland China. It not only reflects Li's unique musical expression but also solidifies Fender's commitment to connecting deeper with the Chinese music culture.

Li Ronghao, often referred to as an “all-around musician,” has made undeniable contributions to the Mandopop landscape with his distinctive musical style and unwavering commitment to quality. His notable tracks, including “Li Bai,” “Model,” “If I Were Young,” and “Black Horse,” showcase a harmonious blend of pop, rock, and folk elements, underlining his skills in combining various musical influences. As he continues his artistic journey, his profound passion for music and exploration drives him to create works that resonate deeply with audiences.

For over three decades, guitars have been the cornerstone of Li’s musical expression, with the Fender Stratocaster being a long-time favorite of his extensive guitar collection. Its classic tones, unmatched playability, and distinctive aesthetic have made it a staple in his music career, accompanying many of his hits and memorable performances. This deep affection and trust in the Stratocaster have fueled the creation of the signature model, embodying both his musical philosophy and aesthetic pursuit.

The Li Ronghao Stratocaster® beautifully captures his signature tone and unique aesthetic. Sporting a Vintage Shell Pink finish, the guitar features an alder body paired with a striking red tortoiseshell pickguard, presenting a refreshing take on vintage aesthetics. The guitar is equipped with a slightly flatter 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard and a 1965 “C” shape maple neck with 21 medium jumbo frets, designed to enhance playability and sustain while preventing string choking during bends.

Fender has incorporated vintage-style single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, delivering a bright high-end, stable low-end, and thick midrange that amplifies the warm tones of this signature model. The Gotoh HB-Classic humbucker at the bridge position maintains clarity, even at higher outputs, while enhancing the overdrive tone's impact and vastly expanding the guitar’s tonal and playability range. Furthermore, the guitar includes a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and vintage-style tuners to maintain excellent performance and stability while upholding its classic vintage design.

Li's signature can be found on the back of the headstock, and the guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity along with a black hardshell case, making it a unique collector's item.
