Waydoo Users Achieve Record eFoil Crossing from Miami to Bahamas

Waydoo Users Complete the Epic eFoil Challenge from Miami to the Bahamas

In a groundbreaking achievement, a diverse group of Waydoo eFoil users completed a remarkable challenge, successfully navigating the open waters from Miami, Florida, to Bimini, Bahamas. This expedition not only marked their triumph over a distance of 100 kilometers but also represented their sheer passion, commitment, and trust in the innovative technology they harnessed.

Hau, the leader of the journey and an experienced rider, shared the initial doubts that crossed his mind prior to departure: “Could we really fly across the ocean on an eFoil?” Undeterred, the team—composed of individuals from various professional backgrounds—was united by their love for the ocean and their unwavering confidence in the capabilities of Waydoo’s eFoils. Over the course of five exhilarating hours, they crossed the challenging waters, achieving a significant milestone.

The journey was not without its challenges. The group faced obstacles such as drifting seaweed, bright glare from the sun reflecting off the water, and changing ocean swells. However, they maintained their focus and trust in the Waydoo Flyer EVO, which proved to be transformational in their experience. Hau noted, “The Gliding C1100 wing provided exceptional lift and stability, and Waydoo's plug-and-play battery system allowed for effortless mid-ocean swaps, ensuring we remained consistently engaged with the thrill of the ride.”

Team member Sal emphasized the importance of the eFoil’s performance, stating, “The Waydoo Flyer EVO isn't just a powerful machine; it instilled us with real confidence.” According to Sal, successful navigation in the open waters demands more than speed; it also requires stability, safety, and endurance—qualities that the Flyer EVO delivered throughout the journey. The team sustained speeds between 18 to 24 mph, and with some sections of the water reaching depths of over 700 meters, the eFoil’s efficient propulsion system ensured consistent performance.

The Waydoo Flyer EVO is noteworthy for being a fully electric, zero-emission craft, embodying a sustainable approach to ocean exploration. Its high-efficiency motor, Smart Flight Assistance System, long-lasting battery, and resistance to waves made it possible for the team to undertake this ambitious crossing. Each kilometer represented a test of their physical limits, reinforcing their dedication to the adventure. Ending the journey at Bimini, a dream location for many ocean enthusiasts, demonstrated how teamwork and innovative technology could turn aspirations into reality.

Waydoo is committed to enhancing accessibility in water sports through ongoing innovation and development. This journey underscored a deep connection between the users and the Waydoo brand, paving the way for even greater adventures on the water as they focus on the future of eFoiling and its community.
