Amflow Unveils Groundbreaking eMTB Models
Amflow, known for its innovative designs in the cycling industry, has launched two new models—
Amflow PX and
Amflow PR. These electric mountain bikes (eMTBs) promise to break the traditional compromise between power, range, and weight, a long-standing issue for cyclists seeking performance in tough terrains.
Both models are powered by the new
Avinox M2S and
M2 propulsion systems, providing users with exceptional capabilities whether they are navigating rugged paths or enjoying leisurely rides. The
Amflow PX boasts a remarkable 1500 watts of maximum power, while the
Amflow PR features an extended range through its new removable battery technology.
Unmatched Versatility in Configuration
One of the standout features of the Amflow PX and PR is the
40 customizable geometry combinations. This offers cyclists unprecedented control over their ride. Riders can adjust:
- - Steering tube angle (5 positions)
- - Bottom bracket height (2 positions)
- - Chainstay length (4 positions)
The
default steering angles are set at 64.2° for the PX and 64.5° for the PR. Cyclists can opt for a more relaxed angle for increased stability at high speeds or a steeper angle for enhanced agility and climbing efficiency. The varying bottom bracket heights cater to both rough terrain navigation and improved grip while cornering. Furthermore, the adjustable chainstays can accommodate
29-inch wheels, promoting excellent rolling capabilities.
Using a
mullet wheel setup, the bikes feature a 29-inch front wheel paired with a 27.5-inch rear wheel, merging agility with a smooth ride. The inclusion of a
flip chip allows for quick wheel changes without altering the bike's center of gravity.
Lightweight Yet Powerful Design
Balancing performance with weight, the Amflow PX weighs in at
20 kg, while the PR is at
22 kg. Both models utilize
ultra-lightweight carbon frames, with the PX frame weighing only 2.4 kg and the PR at 2.9 kg. This design ensures that cyclists do not have to sacrifice power for weight.
The
Avinox propulsion system remains at the heart of these models. The
M2S engine, which powers the PX, offers significant torque of 150 Nm and a 1500 watt peak, ensuring smooth pedal assistance. In contrast, the PR’s
M2 motor delivers a maximum power of 1100 watts with a torque of 125 Nm. Both engines operate quietly, reaching sound levels as low as
45 dBA, balancing serene riding experiences with robust performance.
Advanced Battery Technology
Powering these eMTBs is another significant innovation. The
Amflow PX is equipped with a
700 Wh integrated battery, capable of covering distances up to
144 km. It supports
fast charging technology that allows up to
80% charged in just over an hour. The
Amflow PR introduces the industry's first
removable high-capacity battery rated at
800 Wh, facilitating distances up to
158 km. This battery, weighing just
4 kg, promotes convenience as it can be charged independently from the bike.
Amflow has also integrated a GaN charger featuring
12 A / 508 W, capable of rapid charging, significantly reducing wait times for energy replenishment. An excellent additional feature is the option of a
600 Wh battery, which can function as a secondary battery when mounted externally, extending range without fear of battery depletion.
Cutting-Edge App Integration
The
Avinox control display, a
2-inch OLED touch screen, is embedded into the bike’s frame. This interface allows riders to track real-time metrics, including estimated range and riding data. Through the
Avinox Ride app, cyclists can import routes from third-party applications, navigate them without phone reliance, and even maintain specified heart rate zones, adjusting pedal assistance as needed.
Other highlighted features include the option within the PR model to connect with Apple’s
Find My app, offering real-time tracking of the bike's location.
High-Quality Components Ensure Stable Performance
The Amflow PX and PR incorporate top-tier components, including a
revised four-bar suspension system co-developed with
FOX. This ensures efficient pedaling while minimizing pedal kickback and ensuring smooth handling over uneven surfaces. With
Schwalbe tires, riders can expect reliable grip in diverse conditions. Both bikes are fitted with high-performance brake systems comprising
Magura Gustav Pro and
Tektro TKD173 hydraulic disc brakes for responsive stopping in all scenarios.
Tested for Reliability
Both Amflow models have undergone extensive testing certified by TÜV SÜD and TÜV Rheinland, ensuring durability, water resistance, and performance in real-world conditions. Amflow’s rigorous testing platform guarantees long-distance reliability and safety in extreme settings.
