Shohei Ohtani's Life-Size Golden Statues Make Debut in Kyushu

The batter statue is crafted using 1,550 sheets of gold leaf, standing approximately 1.9 meters tall, while the pitcher statue, made with 1,450 sheets of gold leaf, measures around 1.7 meters. The combined estimated value is a staggering 110 million yen, a nod to Ohtani's remarkable achievements in the 2024 MLB season where he scored over 50 home runs and stole over 50 bases, both feats receiving special recognition.

In addition to the life-size statues, SGC is introducing the "Shohei Ohtani Gold Collection." This limited edition includes a medal crafted from 100 grams of pure gold, featuring a diameter of roughly 5.4 cm.
