TCL Celebrates 100 Million Air Conditioner Units Milestone with New Smart Factory

An Investment in the Future

Strategically built with an investment of almost RMB 2 billion (approximately USD 290.42 million), the new smart factory boasts an impressive annual production capacity of 8 million units, equating to the ability to manufacture one air conditioner every seven seconds. This sprawling factory complex covers 303 acres and incorporates three 'lights-out' factories that operate 24/7, along with 15 advanced laboratories and 10 intelligent production lines.

What sets this facility apart is its integration of cutting-edge technology. An AI data supercomputing center operates over 2,000 AI agents and a sophisticated network of industrial robots, all working together to create a fully automated production ecosystem. This includes a high-precision heat exchanger production line that leverages AI algorithms to enhance operational efficiency by an impressive 41.7%.

Echoing TCL's promise to sustainability, the smart factory has been designed as a low-carbon industrial facility. It features 50,000 square meters of solar panels complemented by an AI-driven energy management system, aiming for a production methodology that minimizes waste and emissions.

One notable feature is its AI Sleep Technology, which employs millimeter-wave radar to monitor a user’s sleep state, automatically adjusting temperature settings to foster an optimal sleep environment.
