ALPHA LASER JAPAN Welcomes New Leadership Amid Group Expansion

ALPHA LASER JAPAN, the authorized distributor of German laser welding machines in Japan, is undergoing a significant transition. As of June 5, 2025, the company appointed Takuichi Kimoto as its new CEO, taking over from Taichiro Kobori, who has successfully led the company since its establishment in 2017. This management change is part of ALPHA LASER JAPAN's integration into the GALAXY Holdings Group, which aims to enhance strategic collaboration and operational efficiency.

Takuichi Kimoto - The New Face of ALPHA LASER JAPAN

Takuichi Kimoto, born in 1969 in Tokyo, has a rich background in sales management, having worked for import-export trading companies and grinding wheel manufacturers. He joined ALPHA LASER JAPAN in July 2022 as a Sales Manager and has been instrumental in business strategies and operational enhancements. His collaboration with Ikekawa, the representative of GALAXY Holdings, was sparked through their mutual interest in expanding sustainable practices in laser welding repairs, particularly aiming to extend the lifecycle of mold tools.

In his new role, Kimoto expresses enthusiasm and dedication to advancing the company’s goals. His vision focuses on reforming internal processes to adapt to the demands of the cutting-edge laser welding industry while strengthening inter-company collaboration within GALAXY Holdings.

Voices from the Past and Plans for the Future

As Taichiro Kobori steps down, he expressed immense gratitude to customers, partners, and employees who contributed to the company's success over the years. He encourages continued support for ALPHA LASER JAPAN in its future endeavors.

Looking forward, ALPHA LASER JAPAN has established itself as a leader in the industrial laser welding landscape by introducing high-performance laser welding machines from ALPHA LASER GmbH across Japan. The German manufacturer’s products are praised globally, having achieved the first TÜV certification for performance level d among laser system manufacturers, affirming their commitment to safety and quality.

With about 68 countries implementing ALPHA LASER products, the company continues to provide comprehensive support and safety protocols to ensure seamless integration for local clients. The recent alliance with GALAXY Holdings will further accelerate innovations and growth in laser welding technology, ultimately leading to enhanced services and market presence.

Strategic Office Move

Following their new leadership announcement, ALPHA LASER JAPAN is relocating its Tokyo office from Adachi Ward to Chuo Ward, sharing space with GALAXY Holdings. This strategic move not only consolidates resources but also fosters synergy within the group.

With its headquarters located in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture, ALPHA LASER JAPAN emphasizes this transition as a pivotal point in strengthening its market leadership. They aim to focus on enhanced sales and support frameworks centered around the Tokyo metropolitan area while leveraging synergies with group companies to drive innovation across the industry.

The Road Ahead
