USANA Foundation Spreads Holiday Joy with Meals for Families in Utah
The holiday season is often viewed as a time filled with joy and celebration. However, this period can also bring challenges, especially for children who rely on school meals, as extended breaks can lead to uncertainty surrounding their access to food. To combat this issue, the USANA Foundation has mobilized its efforts yet again with its Kids Eat program, launching an annual holiday food pack initiative aimed at providing nutritious meals for families throughout Utah.
In 2025, the foundation achieved an impressive milestone by packing a total of 5,143 food bags, delivering the equivalent of 205,720 meals to a staggering 65 schools stretching from Logan to Payson. The value of these bags exceeded $128,575 in gift-in-kind donations. Each holiday bag contained 40 meals and was the result of teamwork between USANA employees, executives, and dedicated volunteers from the community.
This initiative relied on the contributions of 632 volunteers from 158 families and organizations, amassing an incredible 1,896 hours of service to ensure families do not go hungry over the holiday break. Michelle Benedict, the director of global programs for the USANA Foundation, emphasizes the importance of this work, stating, "Food insecurity remains a critical issue in Utah, with one in nine children at risk of hunger. Our year-round food packs are vital for students during the school year, and the holidays demand additional support. This program is made possible by the generosity of our volunteers and partners, and together, we are helping families feel a little more secure during a challenging time."
Brian Paul, president of the USANA Foundation, passionately noted, "Fighting hunger—both locally and globally—has long been a core commitment for USANA. USANA Kids Eat continues to make a meaningful difference here in Utah, and I’m incredibly proud of the collective impact created by our employees, volunteers, and community partners."
A Year of Giving
The year 2025 has proved to be particularly remarkable in terms of generosity for USANA Kids Eat. Thanks to the ongoing support from the public and USANA employees, a total of 46,738 weekend bags, translating to 327,166 meals, were successfully delivered across 49 schools in Utah. These efforts have been instrumental in making a lasting difference for local families, ensuring children remain nourished over the weekends.
