Celebrate 3rd Anniversary of Komugi no Dorei AwakiHara Store!
In the heart of Miyazaki City lies the beloved
Komugi no Dorei Awakihara Store, a unique bakery born from the innovative ideas of renowned entrepreneur
Horie Takumon. As it approaches its
3rd anniversary, the store is gearing up for an exciting celebration, inviting local residents and visitors alike to partake in a festive atmosphere filled with delightful surprises. From
May 16 to May 18, 2025, guests can enjoy a variety of activities and offers that highlight the store's commitment to fun and flavor.
Anniversary Celebration Highlights
To express gratitude to customers who have supported the store over the past three years, special promotions will be available during the anniversary event. One standout feature includes a
complimentary strawberry tart for the first five customers who spend over
1,200 yen each day! This sweet treat is the perfect way to celebrate the store's success in a vibrant community.
Additionally, for just
300 yen, customers can indulge in a
mini bun filling experience, where they can fill up on delightful mini pastries such as mini wieners and chocolate-filled buns. On the opening day of the event, visitors can also receive
discount vouchers with any purchase of
1,200 yen or more, making it not only a joyful gathering but also a smart shopping experience!
However, guests are encouraged to arrive early; due to the limited availability of the mini-bun event, these items may run out quickly!
A Flourishing Bakery
Komugi no Dorei has earned a loyal following since its inauguration in
2022, with its signature
Zaku Zaku Curry Bun selling approximately
150,000 units over the past three years. Celebrated for its golden-crusted exterior, garnished generously with crunchy croutons, the curry bun has won
gold medals in the Curry Bread Grand Prix for four consecutive years. Its flavorful spice mix and hearty potato filling make it a customer favorite and a testament to the bakery's focus on quality and taste.
Throughout the anniversary days, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy not only these famous curry buns but also experience the nostalgic taste of the
Kinako Fried Bread, another beloved offering at the shop. This item draws on flavors familiar to many, making it a hit among all ages.
A Vision for Community Engagement
Komugi no Dorei is not just about baked goods; it represents a thriving model developed by the parent company
Komugino, nurtured under Horie Takumon's online community,
HIU. With the mission of revitalizing local areas through culinary creativity, the brand opened its first store in
April 2020 in
Taiki Town, achieving an impressive
annual revenue of
40 million yen even with its modest population. Over the years,
Komugi no Dorei has expanded significantly, reaching
124 stores in just four years, with plans to continue its footprint beyond Japan.
To enhance its global presence,
Komugi no Dorei plans to open its first international location in
Bangkok, Thailand, by April
2024, emphasizing its strategic growth on a broader scale.
