Times Car and JR West Group's New Campaign
On July 1, 2025, a thrilling collaboration between JR West Japan, JR West Japan Rental & Lease, and Times Mobility Corporation will bring forth the
Times Car WESTER ID Registration Campaign. This initiative is designed to reward travelers with WESTER points, enhancing their journeys around West Japan.
The campaign marks a significant step forward for the three companies, which have been working together since 2013 to expand
JR West Rail & Car Share services. Furthermore, starting from December 2023, they will intensify this cooperation with the management of the
Station Rental Cars Smart West program, aiming to promote rail usage and improve transportation convenience for travelers.
What is the Campaign About?
The
Wester ID Registration Campaign invites participants to sign up for a WESTER ID through the Times Car My Page. From among the registrants, 2,424 lucky individuals will be selected to receive 100 WESTER points. These points can be used for a variety of benefits, including discounts on shopping and fun outings, making travel and leisure more affordable.
Once participants register their WESTER ID on the Times Car platform, they can earn WESTER points by using car-sharing services at designated stations on the same day they travel on local trains or the Sanyo Shinkansen.
To maximize benefits, customers can utilize accumulated WESTER points for purchasing tickets, including special and regular tickets for the Shinkansen and other services provided by the JR West Group. This offers a great way to save money and enjoy the rich experiences that West Japan has to offer.
Important Updates
It's important to note that an existing
ICOCA-based car-sharing door lock and return function, which has provided discounts on car-sharing fees since 2013, will conclude on August 31. This discount, worth 220 yen, has significantly attracted travelers using the
JR West Rail & Car Share services.
Future Prospects
The collaborative efforts of JR West Japan, JR West Japan Rental & Lease, and Times Mobility Corporation reflect a commitment to continuous improvement in customer service and experiences. With exciting campaigns like this, the companies plan to further enhance their offerings and ensure transportation remains accessible and enjoyable for travelers.
