Baystate Health Oncologist Dr. Rawad Elias Achieves Prestigious FASCO Honor

Dr. Rawad Elias, Vice President and Medical Director of Cancer Services at Baystate Health, has received the esteemed title of Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO). This recognition is one of the highest honors that can be awarded by ASCO, celebrating individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of oncology through sustained volunteer leadership.

The FASCO designation serves as a testament to Dr. Elias's extraordinary commitment and dedication over the years. It acknowledges ASCO members who have actively contributed to advancing the field of oncology as well as enhancing patient care for individuals afflicted with the disease. The award is given to those who have demonstrated great leadership in education, advocacy, and committee service within the organization.

Throughout his professional journey with ASCO, Dr. Elias has assumed various leadership roles. He graduated from the ASCO Leadership Development Program and has been actively involved in important committees including the Self-Evaluation Program Item Writing Group, the Clinical Practice and Innovation Committee, and the Health Policy and Health Outcomes Committees.
