Kristin Bechard Joins Stowers Institute as CFO and Treasurer
The Stowers Institute for Medical Research is thrilled to announce that Kristin Bechard will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer starting on July 28, 2025. With over a decade of extensive experience in financial management, Bechard is expected to bring significant insights into the Institute’s long-term financial strategies and operational initiatives.
Previously, Bechard served as the CFO and Treasurer for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she was pivotal in managing an annual operating budget of around $150 million. This experience has equipped her with the expertise needed to guide the Stowers Institute in its mission of advancing world-class biomedical research. Among her responsibilities will be overseeing financial operations for the Stowers Graduate School and leading annual budgeting processes, all while liaising closely with partners such as American Century Investments and BioMed Valley Discoveries.
