Overview of the Event
The
TOKYO CREATIVE SALON 2026 (TCS 2026) is the largest creative festival in Japan, having commenced on March 13, 2026. This year’s event takes place in Shibuya, a vibrant area currently experiencing a significant redevelopment, creating an intersection of diverse personalities and values. This landmark event aligns with the 13th edition of Shibuya Fashion Week, reflecting the evolving urban fashion landscape.
Throughout the duration of TCS 2026, various programs will be conducted, emphasizing community engagement and collaboration. Notably, there will be the unique project titled
“THE CITY DRESSING” in collaboration with artist Face Oka, which will showcase original art installations in public spaces. Besides, large shopping complexes and local attractions, including Bunkamura The Museum, will host a series of programs to captivate the essence of Shibuya's creative spirit.
Weekend Events
During the first weekend after the opening, Shibuya buzzes with activities centered around commercial facilities and the Bunkamura Museum. People strolling through the streets will encounter the captivating
“THE CITY DRESSING”, blending art and fashion as they navigate the urban landscape. The experience invites visitors to engage with artistic expressions that adorn the city, creating a lively atmosphere.
Looking ahead, from
March 20 (Friday) to March 21 (Saturday),
“THE CULTIVATE MARKET by SFW®” will take place at Shibuya Sakura Stage. This market utilizes Shibuya Fashion Week's 13 years of accumulated networks, featuring fashion designers, influencers, stylists, brands, student groups, and members from Japan's sole fashion designer organization,
CFD TOKYO.
The market aims to embody the concept of mixing communities, creating a space where all participants—producers, distributors, and visitors—can nurture relationships. It is not just about selling items; it’s about sparking conversations and exchanging values that transcend titles and roles, allowing fresh connections to form among individuals. The essence of the market is designed so that from the moment you arrive, you naturally become part of the community.
Supporting Social Causes
In commitment to social responsibility, a portion of sales from the market will be donated, enhancing the positive impact of this creative endeavor.
Continuing Celebration
TCS 2026 continues to showcase Tokyo's creative talent until
March 22 (Sunday). We invite everyone to immerse themselves in the unique experiences that combine fashion, art, and culture within the bustling environment of Shibuya.
