R. Lewis Ropp Joins Entergy Corporation's Board of Directors

Before joining Barrow Hanley, Ropp amassed significant experience as a research analyst that specialized in exploration and production. He worked at Howard, Weil, Labouisse, Freidrichs, Inc., and Frost Securities, Inc., where he served in key positions. Ropp's career began in the operations management field within the oil and gas sector, leading him eventually to become an associate project engineer with Baker Hughes Company, and later a process team leader at Shell Oil Company. His roles at these companies saw him oversee critical operations in field development, well stimulation, and economic evaluations, showcasing his diverse skill set. Additionally, Ropp served in the Louisiana Army National Guard as a first lieutenant, further illustrating his commitment to leadership both in civilian and military spheres.

Educationally, Ropp holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Engineering from Tulane University, and he also earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisiana. In addition to his responsibilities at Entergy, he serves on the board of directors at Magnolia Oil & Gas Company, illustrating his continued engagement with the energy industry.
