Acer Reports Strong Financial Growth for November 2024
Acer Inc. has announced its consolidated revenues for November, hitting NT$22.75 billion. This marks a remarkable 20.9% increase from the previous month and a 13.1% rise compared to the same month last year. For the year-to-date, the total revenues have reached NT$240.16 billion, representing a growth of 10.4% when compared to the same period last year.
The personal computer and display business has played a significant role in this growth, contributing to an 11.0% Year-on-Year (YoY) increase in November and a 9.4% YoY rise for the year-to-date. Notably, Chromebook sales soared by 54.1% YoY in November, indicating a robust demand in the market. This surge reflects Acer's effective strategies to cater to evolving consumer needs and preferences in technology.
Acer's ongoing commitment to diversify its business areas has proven fruitful, with revenues from non-computer and display operations accounting for 26.8% of total revenue in November, and 28.3% year-to-date. The company is enhancing its portfolio by fostering new ventures which significantly contribute to its bottom line.
Among the highlights of Acer’s growing subsidiary network, Altos Computing Inc., which specializes in AI servers and workstations, recorded a revenue increase of 3.3% YoY in November and an impressive 64.4% YoY for the year to date. Additionally, Acer ITS Inc. has seen a substantial revenue growth of 59.1% YoY in November, solidifying its place in the tech industry.
In a notable development, two public subsidiaries of Acer began trading in November. This includes Acerpure Inc. and Protrade Applied Materials Corp., both listed on the Taipei Exchange Emerging Market. Winking Studios has also expanded its market presence by starting to trade on the London Stock Exchange AIM and Singapore Exchange Catalyst.
