Hokkaido Yellow Stars Achieve Crowdfunding Success

The Hokkaido Yellow Stars, a volleyball team aiming for the SV League, recently celebrated a significant milestone in their journey. Through a dedicated crowdfunding campaign managed by Sportunity Inc., based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, they successfully raised 2,351,000 yen—achieving 117% of their initial goal. This funding will play a crucial role in upgrading their training environment by procuring a serving machine and enhancing other training equipment needed for next season's SV League debut.

Acknowledging Support

The campaign, titled "Let's Build a New Hub Together for the SV League! #Yesterday's Clapping Fans," aimed to create a sustainable training base as the team embarks on their journey into higher-level competition. Team General Manager, Mr. Kodaka, expressed his deepest gratitude towards all supporters, stating that the achievement would not have been possible without their immense support.

“The new gymnasium set to open in June 2026 will allow us to break free from limited practice environments and enable us to train more effectively,” he remarked. “The funds will be used wisely—primarily for the purchase of a serving machine that will directly benefit our players' growth.”

Project Achievements

Launched on March 13, 2026, the crowdfunding campaign had a goal of 2,000,000 yen as an initial target and 2,500,000 yen as its stretch goal. The project garnered 138 contributions from 111 backers, with an average donation of 21,180 yen per supporter. The first day saw an encouraging start with 30 contributions totaling 500,000 yen, and by the sixth day, they had already reached 1 million yen—nearly 50% of their initial goal.

Interestingly, the project kept gaining momentum, reaching the first target of 2 million yen by April 22. The enthusiasm among supporters led to several added incentives, including personalized mascot volleyballs and exclusive merchandise, which were highly sought after.

On the final day of the campaign, the team announced a "Next Goal," which encouraged even more contributions, culminating in a total of 2,351,000 yen raised.
