Spectee Upgrades Supply Chain Risk Management Platform 'Spectee SCR'

Spectee, a tech startup specializing in crisis management and disaster prevention based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced a major update to its cloud-based supply chain risk management platform, 'Spectee SCR', which aims to help manufacturers manage risks across their supply chains in a more integrated manner. The platform now features enhanced capabilities for centralizing information on supplier status during incidents, making it easier for businesses to monitor and react to various threats.

What is 'Spectee SCR'?

With the increasing frequency of natural disasters, geopolitical tensions, cyberattacks, and tariff issues, the challenges facing global supply chains have grown more severe over the years. In response, Spectee launched 'Spectee SCR' in November 2023, a SaaS platform designed for comprehensive risk management across entire supply chains.

The 'Spectee SCR' platform offers essential features for supply chain risk management, including rapid collection of risk data during crises, visualization of supplier impact, production impact assessment, and features for scoring supplier vulnerabilities and building relationships during normal operations. This solution is particularly beneficial for manufacturing clients with both domestic and global suppliers.

By leveraging various sources, including social media, worldwide news, weather data, and geopolitical risk information, 'Spectee SCR' collects real-time alerts about potential crises that might impact supply chains. The platform allows users to examine supplier connectivity in a structured manner while also visualizing everyday risks faced by suppliers.

Key Interface and Functionality Updates

1. Revamped User Interface: The main dashboard has been completely redesigned to present information clearly. It visually demonstrates the impact of risks on suppliers and production through graphs and numbers. Additionally, it aggregates essential data from SNS, news, maps, and supplier effects in one centralized location.
2. Supplier Risk Scoring: Registered suppliers are evaluated based on international standards, with risk factors displayed through various hazard maps and historical disaster data to highlight potential dangers.
3. Enhanced News Features: The news function has been upgraded to encompass vital global information, including policy changes in different countries and geopolitical risks that may not be easily obtained via social media.
4. Integrated Weather Alerts and Hazard Maps: The platform now features an enhanced function to overlap weather warnings and hazard maps onto a single map, providing a clearer understanding of the risks surrounding suppliers and potential emergency impacts.
