SANY Group's Manufacturing Plant in Brazil Launches First Excavators and Commercial Vehicles
SANY Group Unveils First Equipment from Brazil Manufacturing Plant
SANY Group has recently achieved an impressive milestone with the completion of its first excavators and commercial vehicles at their manufacturing plant located in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. This achievement signifies a major step forward in the company's manufacturing expansion in Latin America and will further enhance SANY's presence in the Brazilian market.
The Campinas facility, which spans 350,000 square meters, features two dedicated assembly lines, with a production capacity of 3,500 units annually. Specifically, the excavator assembly line is designed to produce 1,500 units each year, while the commercial vehicle line targets an annual output of 2,000 units. This strategic development will enable SANY to deliver improved services to customers in Brazil and its surrounding Latin American markets.
To improve efficiency, SANY's operations in Brazil will lessen cross-border logistics costs and import tariffs, allowing for shorter delivery times and enhanced customer support. The Campinas plant will integrate manufacturing, sales, and service operations, strengthening SANY's supply chain and competitiveness throughout Latin America. Since entering the Brazilian market, SANY has emphasized local sales, manufacturing, and service, and the commencement of production in Campinas will bring comprehensive manufacturing capabilities to the region.
The decision to localize production underscores SANY's long-term commitment to Brazil. Alongside this, the company has undertaken significant investments in local operations, sales channels, and financial services. Currently, approximately 80% of SANY Brazil's workforce comprises local talent, and the company has established a robust network of distributors throughout the country. The new facility has already created around 200 direct jobs, with expectations for thousands more in the future.
Moreover, SANY Bank, which received approval from the Central Bank of Brazil in 2025 and officially commenced operations in early 2026, offers integrated solutions encompassing equipment, services, and financing tailored for the local market.
Cao Te, President of SANY Latin America, and Chen Wei, Project General Manager, announced that the production lines of the first phase are now operational while the planning for the second phase of the plant has begun. They stated that new product categories will be introduced to further enhance SANY’s offerings in Brazil as time progresses.
Looking ahead, SANY aims to solidify the Campinas facility as a regional manufacturing hub, enhancing local production capabilities while delivering high-quality products for customers across Latin America. The successful assembly of these first units not only marks a significant chapter in SANY's growth trajectory but also positions the company strategically for future expansion in a competitive landscape.
Through innovative manufacturing practices and a keen focus on local needs, SANY Group is paving the way for a new era of construction machinery in Brazil. With its commitment to quality and efficiency, the company is well on its way to becoming a leader in the Latin American market, ready to meet the changing demands of the industry and deliver exceptional value to its customers.
