On March 24, 2026, Texas Realtors bestowed the Distinguished Service Award upon Lubbock real estate agent Winn Sikes during their winter meeting. This prestigious award acknowledges individuals who have shown commitment to the real estate profession and their community for a minimum of 25 years. Winn's remarkable career reflects dedication, excellence, and selfless service.

Jennifer Wauhob, President of Texas Realtors, praised Sikes, stating, "Winn has exemplified what it truly means to serve the real estate profession with class, honor, grace, and an unwavering passion. She has devoted her time, leadership, and wisdom to strengthen our industry, advocating for property rights, and mentoring future generations of real estate agents. Winn began her real estate career in 1977, and since then, she has contributed countless hours to various committees and working groups, progressing through all levels of leadership within the association. During her presidency of the Lubbock association, she introduced the area's first electronic lockbox system, a groundbreaking innovation that permanently revolutionized the way real estate business is conducted in the region.

A passionate advocate for political engagement in real estate, Sikes holds a position in the Hall of Fame of the Real Estate Political Action Committee (RPAC) at the $25,000 level. She firmly believes that protecting the profession requires active participation in political processes. Currently, she continues to serve diligently on the Government Affairs Committee/Political Action Committee of the Texas Association of Realtors (TREPAC) and leads its annual phone banking initiative. Her longstanding relationships with local, state, and national leaders are a testament to her commitment to her profession.
