LX Pantos Celebrates Completion of Logistics Center in Katowice, Poland

LX Pantos Unveils New Logistics Hub in Katowice, Poland

LX Pantos, a leading integrated logistics provider, recently celebrated the completion of its extensive logistics facility in Katowice, a key city in southern Poland. This momentous event signals an important milestone for the company’s expansion into Europe, demonstrating its commitment to strengthening its global logistics network through strategic infrastructure investments.

The acquisition of the logistics center was executed in partnership with the Korean Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and the PIS No. 2 Fund, a political fund affiliated with Poland's Ministry of Agriculture, Infrastructure, and Transport. The total value of this acquisition is approximately €140 million, with financing provided by the Korea Ocean Business Corporation, which helped to establish a solid financing structure for the project.

The facility consists of five buildings with a total floor area of 109,000 square meters and has been successfully completed as a state-of-the-art logistics complex.

Katowice, situated in the Upper Silesia region, is Poland's largest metropolitan area and serves as a strategic logistics hub at the crossroads of major east-west and north-south transport corridors connecting Germany, Poland, Ukraine, northern, and southern Europe. With seamless access to highways, rail networks, and airports, the location offers excellent conditions for intermodal logistics operations and is expected to function as a crucial gateway for distribution across Europe.

LX Pantos plans to utilize the new Katowice facility as a strategic center for its logistics operations in Eastern Europe. The company aims to enhance services for significant clients within various industries, including automotive parts, consumer goods, and home appliances, while also supporting Korean companies entering the European market. Furthermore, the center is expected to play a central role in meeting the growing demand for logistics in Eastern Europe and neighboring regions.

The completion of the logistics center in Katowice marks a pivotal step for LX Pantos, as it secures a critical strategic hub connecting Europe and strengthens the company’s position as a reliable partner supporting global supply chains for multinational corporations.
