Enhancing Puppy Health: Trupanion and CKC Renew Their Commitment
Enhanced Care for Canada's Puppies: Trupanion and CKC Partnership
In a significant move for pet health care in Canada, Trupanion, a leading provider of medical insurance for pets in North America, has renewed its partnership with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) to continue offering essential health coverage for puppies. This collaboration, which began in 2022, aims to give breeders and new pet parents the peace of mind they need during the crucial early days of a puppy’s life.
Trupanion has already made a tremendous impact in the Canadian pet community, having paid more than $7.4 million in claims for veterinary care for thousands of CKC-registered puppies since the partnership started. These funds have gone towards covering over 30,000 claims, demonstrating the company’s commitment to ensuring that pets receive the medical attention they need right from the start. Additionally, the partnership has activated more than 26,000 Go Home Day Offers, resulting in over 13,000 puppies enrolled in Trupanion’s insurance plans.
The Go Home Day Offer
A standout feature of this partnership is Trupanion's exclusive Go Home Day Offer. This offer provides CKC-registered puppies with 30 days of comprehensive insurance coverage without upfront costs. What makes this initiative particularly noteworthy is the absence of payout limits, breed restrictions, or exclusions, which are often barriers in pet insurance. This initial safety net helps both breeders and new pet owners navigate the early days of puppy ownership with confidence.
“As pet owners, we want to ensure our puppies have the best start possible,” said Margi Tooth, President and CEO of Trupanion. “This partnership acknowledges the importance of giving these new pets a solid foundation through our reliable insurance coverage.
