JA Solar, one of the leading global players in photovoltaic products and integrated energy solutions, proudly announced the successful launch of a state-of-the-art Solar-plus-Storage microgrid at a modern commercial and industrial (C&I) facility in Sicily, Italy. The meticulously designed system boasts an impressive capacity of 3.2 MW from existing solar panels and an additional 2 MW from newly installed solar capacity. Coupled with a robust battery storage system capable of holding 2.61 MWh, this setup offers three primary benefits: maximizing the self-consumption of renewable energy, enhancing energy resilience, and significantly lowering energy costs and carbon emissions.
At the heart of this project is JA Solar's advanced management technology which works hand-in-hand with a local energy management system (EMS) in Italy.
