Introducing CINEMA: Personal Coaching Service to Fuel Entrepreneurial Visions

Introducing the CINEMA Coaching Service

On June 5, 2025, GOB Inc., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, launched CINEMA, a personal coaching service designed to support entrepreneurs in their business ventures. Unlike conventional acceleration programs that often operate on a fixed schedule, limiting thorough exploration, CINEMA offers tailored guidance to entrepreneurs as they develop their unique business scenarios.

Overcoming Structural Challenges in Group Support Programs

The success of any new venture often hinges on the originality and robustness of its core concept during the early stages of business development. This crucial phase requires deep engagement with the entrepreneur's unique worldview and sensibility, similar to the creative process of writing a screenplay. Traditional acceleration programs, while effective on a theoretical level, often fail to provide the individualized exploration needed for entrepreneurs to fully realize their potential.

CINEMA addresses these challenges with a completely personalized coaching model. Each entrepreneur receives support from a dedicated coach (referred to as a “director”) who works closely with them to draft a bespoke roadmap to business realization.

Expertise from Specialized Directors

The CINEMA initiative employs a team of directors who possess extensive experience in launching various businesses, both within and outside of GOB. Their role transcends mere instruction; they aim to refine the entrepreneurs' unique perspectives and worldviews, essential elements that provide a competitive edge and scalability in the market.

Here’s an overview of some of our directors:
  • - Yasuhito Takaoka (CEO of GOB): With a background in launching new ventures and business strategies, Takaoka mentors entrepreneurs to help balance social and economic value through their ideas.
  • - Takahiro Yamaguchi (Founder, GOB): With over 100 successful projects in business development, he focuses on translating entrepreneurial visions into impactful business models, drawing from his own entrepreneurial experiences.
  • - Mao Okudaira (CBO, GOB): Specializing in project management and design direction, Okudaira assists entrepreneurs in the crucial early stages of business development, ensuring growth is accelerated.

Flexible Scheduling and Tailored Support

Central to the CINEMA service are bi-monthly (1.5-hour) one-on-one meetings that resemble script meetings between a writer and their director. From brainstorming ideas to tracking milestones on the path to business realization, the sessions are entirely customized to fit the entrepreneur's needs.

Recognizing that many clients have existing job commitments, CINEMA is designed for flexibility, with meeting schedules adjusted according to participants' availability. Ongoing support is also provided through a dedicated Slack channel, enabling seamless communication and assistance as entrepreneurs progress towards their goals.

Preventing Traps in New Business Development

The early stages of launching a business are often fraught with challenges. To help circumvent common pitfalls, CINEMA offers over 40 instructional resources that outline the traps many ventures fall into. Entrepreneurs can engage with these materials proactively to avoid unnecessary setbacks in their development.

However, these resources must be provided at the right moment for maximum benefit. CINEMA ensures that each entrepreneur receives the most relevant materials tailored to their specific journey.

Aim: 100 Companies Generating 5 Billion Yen Each

GOB’s mission with CINEMA is to create a diverse range of business opportunities, aspiring to produce 100 companies, each achieving annual revenue of 5 billion yen. This approach contrasts with the typical model of generating a single large entity, emphasizing pluralism in offerings to foster societal choice.

To cultivate businesses that can create new solutions to societal challenges, GOB believes it is paramount to draw from the unique perspectives and passions of individual entrepreneurs, as this aids in identifying and addressing latent societal issues with innovative approaches.

Building startups from these unique concepts, however, is a complex process requiring a refinement of ideas into concrete business applications that can resonate with the market. CINEMA is dedicated to facilitating this transformation by providing the necessary coaching support, propelling entrepreneurs from the ideation phase to tangible business development.

Next Steps: Introducing the Visiting Entrepreneur Program

Understanding that the process of validating a business may take up to 1.5 years, the CINEMA program cannot provide comprehensive support for the entire duration of the venture. As a result, we also offer a Visiting Entrepreneur Program designed for those who wish to commit to rigorous business validation.

This program allows entrepreneurs to embed themselves within a company, receiving financial support while preparing their venture. For details, please get in touch with us.
