Zoomlion Celebrates a Major Milestone with 5,000th Power Battery and New Energy Components Portfolio Launch

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. recently celebrated a significant milestone by achieving the production of its 5,000th power battery in Changsha, China. This accomplishment not only highlights the company's manufacturing capabilities but also emphasizes its commitment to sustainable energy solutions and innovation in the high-end equipment market.

At the launch event, Zoomlion also unveiled a new portfolio of energy components aimed at enhancing the company’s green initiatives. The 5,000th battery unit represents an important step in building a clean energy ecosystem that integrates core components, system development, and practical applications across various sectors. The proprietary battery management system developed by Zoomlion allows for precise tracking of individual cells while offering smart control over charging and discharging processes. This results in stable performance, even under extreme weather conditions.

According to Lin Yong, the general manager of Zoomlion New Energy Technology Development Co., these batteries are designed for reliability and versatility, boasting a lifespan that surpasses conventional products by 20%. They have been successfully employed in new energy buses and construction machinery, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from users.

In addition to the power battery, Zoomlion presented a new suite of key components for new energy solutions, spanning lithium energy, electric propulsion systems, and hydrogen energy. This launch reflects the company's strategy of promoting comprehensive innovation and compatibility across a variety of applications.

Within the lithium battery solutions, the company has introduced three major series: the 'Xiaoyun' hybrid-agricultural pack, which ensures compatibility across a wide range of applications and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 60°C; the 'Standard Box' series, which allows for flexible expansion from 140-800kWh and has been tested over 2.6 million kilometers of commercial operation; and the 'Mining' series, specifically engineered with robust safety features and internal management systems to thrive in challenging mining environments.

The electric motor range unveiled by Zoomlion includes high-efficiency and high-density motors and control systems, such as a 120 kW flat wire reluctance motor, a dual-module main drive controller with a capacity of 300 kW, and a 700 kW electric mining truck powertrain. Central to this ecosystem is a newly introduced domain control platform, utilizing a six-core chip capable of executing over 1,000 dynamic adjustments per second, which facilitates seamless multi-domain control across all electric machines.

Furthermore, Zoomlion rolled out a comprehensive hydrogen solution encompassing production, refueling, and utilization. This system features compact electrolyzers, its first high-pressure refueling station, and a 300 kW fuel cell, thus providing new, low-carbon emission options for the transport and energy sectors.

The launch of this milestone along with the introduction of new components underscores Zoomlion's relentless pursuit of innovation that is propelling the transformation of various industries through advanced technologies.
