Taku Fujita, the CEO of Functional Glass Research Institute, is a seasoned professional with a rich history in the glass industry. After graduating from Konan University with a degree in applied chemistry, he began his career at Yodogawa Steel Works, working on technology development related to ultra-thin steel plates. In 1986, he transitioned to Matsunami Glass Industry, focusing on new product development centered on ultra-thin glass. Today, he leads his own research institute, further contributing to the industry’s advancements.

In his career, he has initiated significant projects such as mass-producing touch panel glass for automotive navigation systems and supporting the rise of capacitive touch screens for smartphones.
