In Japan, there will be a two-stage competition to determine the nation's top cat, while overseas shops will concurrently host their own events to crown the best representative cat from each location.

Phases of the Election

• - First Phase: Preliminary Rounds

- Voting Period: September 1 - September 23, 2026
- Results Announcement: September 29, 2026
- Voting Methods:
- In-store voting: 1 vote per visit.
- Merchandise voting: 2 votes for every purchase of 500 yen (tax included).

• - Second Phase: Final Rounds

- Voting Period: October 1 - October 15, 2026
- Results Announcement: October 22, 2026
- Voting Methods:
- In-store voting: 2 votes per visit.
- Merchandise voting: 4 votes for every purchase of 500 yen (tax included).
- Web voting: 1 vote per session.

• - Overseas Shops:

- Similar preliminary voting period as above, ending on September 23, 2026, with results announced on September 29.
