GoodWe Launches First-Ever Low-Noise Home Energy Storage Solution in Amsterdam
GoodWe Launches Innovative Low-Noise Energy Storage System in Amsterdam
In a significant development for the European energy sector, GoodWe has introduced the world’s first certified low-noise home energy storage solution during a launch event in Amsterdam. This innovative product, part of the new ESA series, is designed to meet increasing demand from homeowners across Europe for greater energy independence. The ESA series embodies the '4S' concept — silent, smart, secure, and simple — integrating exceptionally quiet operation with advanced energy management powered by artificial intelligence, robust safety features, and an uncomplicated installation process.
During the launch, which attracted partners, installers, and market experts, key discussions centered around the evolving role of energy storage in Europe’s energy transition. This dialogue emphasizes the importance of integrated and intelligent energy solutions that contribute to a more flexible and resilient electricity grid. Yingge Wang, Vice President of GoodWe, highlighted that the energy sector is entering a new phase characterized by the electrification of transport and heating, rapid growth in energy storage, and the convergence of renewable energy sources with digital intelligence. He stated that the next step in this transformation is the integration of renewable energy generation, networks, storage, and consumption via smart energy management, enabling more consumers to become energy prosumers. This shift ensures greater energy independence and stronger control over energy costs and supplies.
Pioneering Solutions for Home Energy in Europe
GoodWe's energy storage solutions play a pivotal role in balancing energy generation and consumption while maintaining grid functionality. The brand has been at the forefront of the European home energy storage market since it launched the first hybrid inverter for households back in 2014, along with establishing the first European after-sales service center in the Netherlands. The capacity for energy storage is expanding rapidly in the region, with the total number of installations increasing year-on-year, thereby creating significant opportunities for advanced home energy storage systems.
The '4S' in One Energy Storage System
The ESA series is specifically designed to offer a smart, reliable, and user-friendly experience for home energy management. The system operates at a remarkably low noise level of just 30 dB, thanks to custom low-noise fans, operational adaptability to varying conditions, and an ultra-quiet mode which can be activated by users. During the event, GoodWe received the world’s first Grade A low-noise performance certification for energy storage systems (ESS) from TÜV Rheinland.
Fully integrated with GoodWe's smart energy management platform, the ESA system optimizes the charging and discharging processes based on solar energy production, household consumption patterns, and dynamic electricity tariffs. This optimization allows homeowners to maximize self-consumption and reduce energy costs. The ESA series combines a six-layer safety architecture—from cell level to whole system level—with comprehensive protection mechanisms and a rapid full backup power feature, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted energy supply even during grid outages.
Thanks to the sturdy enclosure, detachable handles, and carefully calculated weight, the system can be modularly stacked like Lego blocks. Its plug-and-play design enables installation in as little as 10 minutes, a solution that GoodWe demonstrated during the launch event.
Strategic Partnerships for Long-Term Development
GoodWe has also established strategic collaborations with key market participants, including Beebop, Frank Energie, and Tibber. These partnerships aim to enhance cooperation throughout the home energy ecosystem, merging advanced energy storage technology with innovative virtual power plant services to empower households in managing dynamic electricity prices effectively and accelerating the deployment of intelligent energy solutions.
Industry Recognition
The event also featured an accolade from EUPD Research, which awarded GoodWe an AA+ category certificate for brand leadership and sustainability in Europe (2025/26), recognizing the company's strong market position and commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions. Yingge Wang affirmed, "We will continue to listen to market demands and drive innovations. Our goal is to enable an increasing number of customers to become energy prosumers.”
Note: noise level at operational power of 5-8 kW reduced to 30 dB at an ambient temperature of 25°C.
