Greener Power Solutions Welcomes Jasper van den Driest as New CEO to Drive Expansion

Greener Power Solutions Welcomes New Leadership

Greener Power Solutions, a leading European provider of large-scale mobile batteries for temporary power supply solutions, has made headlines with the recent appointment of Jasper van den Driest as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This leadership change is set to transition the company into a significant growth phase, building on its recent successes driven by strategic investments and market demand.

New Leadership Amidst Growth

The company announced on July 22, 2025, that van den Driest would officially take over the role on September 1, succeeding the founder Dieter Castelein. Under Castelein's leadership, which spanned eight successful years, Greener Power Solutions established itself as a powerhouse in the energy sector, especially in mobile power solutions. With the backing of infrastructure investor CVC DIF, who has been pivotal in their expansion since 2022, the company has reported a remarkable tripling of its workforce and an average annual revenue increase exceeding 50%.

Castelein's departure marks the end of an era, and van den Driest is stepping in at a time when Greener is gearing up for a stronger presence in the European markets. This expansion is not just about increasing market share but also about broadening their product offerings and service capabilities. The recent surge in demand for cleaner, more efficient energy alternatives to diesel generators has positioned Greener Power Solutions favorably in the industry.

A Proven Track Record in Energy

Jasper van den Driest is no stranger to the energy sector, having previously served as CEO of Vandebron, a Dutch energy supplier known for serving 240,000 households with renewable energy. His prior experience in leading Guidion, a B2B platform for telecommunications and energy technicians, gives him a comprehensive understanding of both the energy and service dimensions essential for Greener's growth.

Van den Driest brings over 15 years of executive experience and is eager to harness Greener's solid foundation to steer the company into its next phase of expansion and professionalization. By December 2025, Greener aims to increase its fleet of mobile batteries from 185 to 250 units, enhancing its capability to support clean energy initiatives significantly.

Meeting Market Demands with Innovation

The evolution of Greener’s mobile battery units has been substantial. The company expanded its operations from 40 units since the investment by CVC DIF, which underlines their commitment to providing flexible, affordable, and environmentally friendly power solutions. The growth aligns with the escalating market demand for temporary power generation that is both cost-effective and sustainable.

The company’s offerings include turnkey solutions, comprehensive service support, and around-the-clock monitoring facilitated by proprietary software that optimizes energy use while providing real-time insights into consumption and emissions savings. Van den Driest is looking forward to contributing to this dynamic environment at Greener. “I am thrilled to join Greener in September. The company is well-positioned to offer high-quality energy solutions across Europe with the continued backing of our robust partner, CVC DIF,” he stated.

A Bright Future Ahead

As the COO and co-founder of Greener, Klaas Akkerman expressed pride in the accomplishments achieved under Castelein’s tenure and is looking ahead to the new insights and leadership that van den Driest will bring.
