In an impressive move toward sustainability,

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This certification aligns with the Paris Agreement's mission to limit global temperature rise to within 1.5°C. The company aims to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by

SBTi, the organization that certifies scientifically-based GHG reduction targets, was established by a coalition of prominent groups including the
CDP, the
United Nations Global Compact, the
World Resources Institute (WRI), and the
World Wildlife Fund (WWF). LIVENT’s newly certified target encompasses both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, validating its strategies for effective GHG reductions.

With this certification, LIVENT plans to focus specifically on reducing automotive emissions from transporting floral products used in its funeral service,
Han Sougi®. By leveraging its strategic location close to the flower market, LIVENT will reevaluate its entire sales and transport process to streamline operations and collaborate with the flower industry to achieve significant reductions in GHG emissions.
