Event Overview

- - Location: Learning Commons, Building 5, Toyo Eiwa University, Kanagawa Prefecture
- - Organized by: Catapult Co.

Morning Session: Defining Ideal Work Styles
The morning began with workshops where students brainstormed their ideal work conditions. Facing questions like "What is essential when I work?" and "What does my ideal workplace look like?", students first reflected individually and then shared in groups. While initially hesitant, laughter and enthusiasm grew as discussions flowed. Each group presented their findings, revealing shared desires such as wanting to become impressive professionals and balancing work and personal life.
Afternoon Session 1: Interaction with Employees
In the afternoon, students enjoyed an invaluable exchange with TBK employees from purchasing, development, and sustainability teams. This interaction proved fruitful, as students gained insights from employees’ diverse experiences, including the perspective that changing jobs can lead to career advancement. New employees also shared their insights and supportive advice regarding the job search process, creating a relaxed atmosphere due to the comparable ages between staff and students.
Afternoon Session 2: Reflecting on Work Styles Again
Following their engagement with employees, students revisited the same questions they tackled in the morning. Discussions deepened as insights evolved. Realizations emerged like the understanding that having a negative view of overtime isn’t universal, as some employees perceive it positively. Acknowledgments regarding job offers as mere stepping stones rather than final goals highlighted a shift in thinking. Many students reported increased confidence in expressing their thoughts during this second round, indicating a profound development influenced by the earlier discussions.
Post-event feedback from participants emphasized how this experience ignited reflections on their future working styles within the context of their entire lives, marking it as a significant outcome leading into job hunting.
