Learn Traffic Safety with JAF at Moritown This Summer!

The Tokyo branch of the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), led by Chairman Kazuo Kato, is excited to announce a unique traffic safety event scheduled for August 15th and 16th, 2026, at Moritown in Akishima City. This event is designed specifically for families to enjoy, learn, and engage in various activities that promote safe transportation practices.

With the summer holidays approaching, it's the perfect opportunity for parents and children to come together and learn essential traffic safety skills. Through interactive experiences, attendees will gain knowledge on how to safely navigate crosswalks, understand traffic signals, and more. This event seeks to make the learning process fun and memorable, ensuring that families can enjoy their outings while prioritizing safety.

Exciting Activities

JAF will offer several engaging activities during the event:

1. JAF Try Safety with Kids (Kids Services Car):
Children can learn about traffic signals and the importance of stopping at intersections by getting a hands-on experience of operating the Kids Services Car. This activity is designed to make children understand the significance of obeying traffic laws in a fun way.

2. Reflection Material Experience:
Participants will have the chance to explore the effects of reflective materials in a fascinating black box demonstration. This eye-opening experience will teach children about visibility and safety at night.

3. Kids Safety License:
Children under elementary school age will be able to participate in a traffic rules quiz. Successful participants will receive a certificate that resembles a real driver's license, known as the Kids Safety License. Plus, for those who excel, you’ll get a Moritown Meal Voucher, perfect for enjoying a delicious family meal after the event. Please note that these vouchers will be available only while supplies last each day.
