Black Cat White Cat Music (BCWC Music), based in Tokyo, recently undertook the music production and sound mixing for the opening program of MoN Takanawa, a new cultural facility located in the Takanawa Gateway City. The inaugural work, titled 'MANGALOGUE: Firebird', is inspired by Osamu Tezuka's iconic manga series 'Firebird: Future Chapter'. This innovative live performance merges narration, visuals, music, and immersive sound design to offer an unparalleled experiential journey.

Set to be performed from April 22 to May 16, 2026, this event marks a significant milestone for MoN Takanawa. The venue aims to redefine cultural consumption by emphasizing the theme 'Life as Culture'. 'MANGALOGUE: Firebird' stands out as a landmark program that encapsulates this vision through its cutting-edge combination of music, technology, and visual art.

BCWC Music's collaboration with composers from Japan, Europe, and Indonesia has forged a multinational and interdisciplinary production effort. They have reimagined the grand sense of time and life embodied in 'Firebird' into contemporary soundscapes, offering audiences a fresh auditory experience. The sound mixing for the production was expertly handled by ZAK, a renowned recording and mixing engineer in Japan known for his work on masterpieces including those by Ryuichi Sakamoto. ZAK's role was crucial in crafting a three-dimensional sound experience that envelops the entire theater, transforming the space into an immersive auditory landscape.
