The Sea Forest Waterway, a key venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, is set to host an immersive real-world RPG escape game titled "Escape from the Holy Land of Water" on February 22-23, 2023. Hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Sports Culture Foundation, this unique event aims to enhance the experience of sports facilities beyond their conventional use, bringing new offerings to participants.
Created by Halegake Inc. (known for the NAZO×NAZO Theater), this event invites attendees to the spectacular Sea Forest Waterway in Koto Ward, where they will engage in a mystery-solving adventure—perfect for both sports fans and puzzle enthusiasts. Set against a breathtaking backdrop of Tokyo Bay and panoramic urban scenery, the venue captivates visitors while challenging them to solve puzzles inspired by water sports.
Event Overview
During this thrilling event, participants will engage directly with characters and explore various areas within the waterway facility, with an emphasis on teamwork and problem-solving under a tight time constraint. The escape game is designed to educate attendees on the rules and characteristics of water sports while allowing them to explore usually inaccessible areas, such as the spectator seats, accommodation facilities, and boat storage spaces.
