Unveiling the Enchanting World of Fashion at the TOKYOROOMS Exhibition
From April 18th to May 17th, 2026, DREAM VISION, a company based in Ikeda, Osaka, will participate in the unique immersive exhibition titled
"TOKYOROOMS Exhibition: 40 Rooms, 40 Ways of Living". This event is set to showcase the artistic vision of the talented writer and artist,
Momoko Gumitani. The exhibition represents a compelling intersection between literature and fashion, specifically capturing the essence of Gumitani's novel,
Mikuru of the Fairy Tale Kingdom.
Conceptual Synergy: Fashion and Literature
The collaboration between DREAM VISION and Momoko Gumitani is rooted in a shared theme of exploring multiple identities. The concept behind the exhibition resonates with the notion that we are not defined by a single persona but can adopt various 'cute' styles depending on our mood and circumstance. Gumitani's narrative in
Mikuru of the Fairy Tale Kingdom reflects this fluidity of self, which aligns perfectly with DREAM VISION's philosophy of allowing women to dress in ways that express their current desires and dreams.
DREAM VISION has crafted a unique clothing line that transcends age and taste, celebrating the versatility of womanhood by affirming desires for self-expression. The apparel featured in the TOKYOROOMS exhibition will not merely serve as decorative attire but will embody the characters and themes from Gumitani's novel, integrating into the immersive spaces as dynamic embodiments of identity.
What is the TOKYOROOMS Exhibition?
The TOKYOROOMS exhibition is a participatory showcase where 40 creators and enterprises express their unique values within the confines of a six-tatami mat room. Visitors can journey through each conceptual space, reflecting on their personal likes and aspirations. Each room presents an opportunity for attendees to confront diverse perspectives and question their own identities, ultimately offering a fresh art-viewing experience.
Meet Momoko Gumitani
Hailing from Tokyo and an ICU graduate,
Momoko Gumitani gained recognition as a member of the popular group BiSH, which recently disbanded after a memorable concert at Tokyo Dome in 2023. Notably, she contributed lyrics to an impressive 17 songs while part of the group. Following the group's dissolution, she has embarked on a journey of authorship, publishing
Mikuru of the Fairy Tale Kingdom and is set to release a self-published poetry collection titled
The Sound of Ice Melting in September 2025. This month will also see her host an exhibition named
Collecting Words, highlighting her versatile talents in writing and media.
Engaging Audiences through Social Media
Throughout the exhibition, visitors can access exclusive interviews with Momoko Gumitani, discussing the selections of costumes, the relationship between literature and fashion, and the intentions behind the spatial design of the display. These interviews will be shared across DREAM VISION's official social media channels, serving as a meaningful bridge between the physical exhibition experience and a digital narrative context.
Connecting Experiences to Daily Life
During the exhibition run, DREAM VISION will unveil a special webpage on its official online store, featuring the costumes worn in the exhibition. Furthermore, a giveaway campaign will allow select customers who purchase featured items a chance to win a signed copy of
