Teneo Expands Financial Advisory Services into Canada
Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, has made a significant move by expanding its Financial Advisory business into Canada. This strategic development, announced on November 6, 2026, involves the appointment of Phil Reynolds as the Senior Managing Director and Head of Financial Advisory for the Canadian market.
With a robust team already in place, Teneo's operations in Canada now encompass around 60 professionals across major cities, including Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary. This expansion is not viewed merely as a step forward but as part of a broader strategy to enhance Teneo's Financial Advisory services globally. Following this announcement, Teneo plans to recruit additional team members in the coming months to bolster its Canadian operations.
Phil Reynolds enters this leadership role with extensive experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency, particularly within the sectors of manufacturing, finance, aviation, mining, forestry, and pulp and paper. Before joining Teneo, Reynolds was the National Practice Leader at Deloitte's restructuring and insolvency practice, where he managed high-profile restructuring projects and offered strategic consultations for distressed businesses.
His comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and distressed business operations will be instrumental as Teneo aims to establish a strong foothold in the Canadian financial advisory landscape. Phil’s track record includes advising high-stakes Board meetings and navigating complex insolvency proceedings, which will enhance Teneo's capability to manage challenging corporate situations effectively.
